Neha V. Amin, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Amin graduated on the Dean's List from Indiana University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. She then attended and graduated with honors from the University of Missouri School of Optometry. Dr. Amin received awards of achievement in the fields of both contact lenses and vision therapy. She has been involved in contact lens research and received a grant for work on a research article discussing the use of rigid gas permeable contact lenses to slow the progression of nearsightedness. Dr. Amin is an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association. She served as chairman for the Diabetic Expo Committee and Walk for Diabetes, organizing vision screenings, informational booths and recruiting volunteers. Dr. Amin is on the membership committee and is a volunteer for the Special Olympics. In 1997, she traveled to El Salvador with the Lions Club to provide optometric care. Free eye examinations were provided. Glasses were given to those in need. Dr. Amin loves traveling, hiking and most sports. Plus, having grown up in Indiana, she has the requisite basketball obsession needed to live there. Dr. Amin is available for workshops and study groups and can be reached by e-mail.
Robert J. Esposito, O.D., F.A.A.O., F.C.O.V.D
Dr. Esposito received his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He received his Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1994. Dr. Esposito then went on to complete an elective residency in Rehabilitative Optometry at the Northport Veterans Administration Medical Center in Northport, N.Y. This intensive 1 year residency program involved advanced ocular and systemic disease management, surgical ocular disease management, low vision rehabilitation and the treatment of visual abnormalities and dysfunctions secondary to closed head trauma (i.e. stroke) with optometric vision therapy. After completing the residency, Dr. Esposito received his specialty certification as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Esposito is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development as well as a member of the Low Vision Section of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Esposito has been a competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter since 1985. He has been in over 20 bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions and has placed in the top 5 in nearly all of them. Alan Paris, O.D.
Dr. Alan Paris is currently a practicing optometrist in Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he received a B.S. in Chemistry from Brooklyn College in 1971. He earned a second B.S. in Science at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1973 as well as his Doctorate in Optometry in 1975. Later he studied developmental vision at the Gesell Institute of human Development in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Paris holds certificates in developmental vision, sports vision, hypnosis and ocular therapeutics.
Dr. Paris has lectured and published on vision and on hypnosis to provide continuing education for doctors and nurses. He has also lectured at community college, to the general public, at the Lion's Club and even an elementary school class. Presently, Dr. Paris continues to practice and write as an optometrist. He enjoys playing trombone in the community based Scottsdale concert band. He remains available for educational presentations or speaking engagements.
