You could be suffering from "dry eyes".  Dry eye is a common problem here in Arizona due to our climate.  Computer use, allergies and dehydration all add to the problem as well.

"Dry eye" has recently been found to be an ocular surface inflammatory disease.  The treatment involves more than relieving the symptoms with over-the-counter antibiotics.  We need to treat the inflammation with other prescription topical medications.
